Android Version Workaround

Ohayo!

I've been told multiple times now that some of you have problems with updating the Android version, so I decided to make a post with a workaround (which really is just the software version of turning it off and on again) for you to try.

If you encounter a problem with the Android version, saying that it can't be installed because it conflicts with an existing version, or that the update can't be installed, do the following if you want to keep your save files:

  • Go to your file browser app of choice and navigate to Internal Storage > Android > Data > vertigo.crimson.high > files.
  • Select the folder named "saves".
  • Click on the "Move" button (or "copy" if you don't have a "move" button) and move it to another folder. Possibly one that you create specifically for this. Just make sure that it's outside of the vertigo.crimson.high folder because it's going to get deleted.
  • Once you have made a backup of your save files, go to your home screen or wherever your Crimson High shortcut is located, press and hold it, and select "uninstall".
  • After it's uninstalled you can then install the new version of CH you downloaded.
  • Then, start the app once, close it again, and go back to your file browser.
  • Revert the previous actions by navigating to where you've moved the "saves" folder in Step 3 and select it there.
  • Move it back into it's place in the new vertigo.crimson.high > files folder.
  • Now it should work and you still have your save files.

I hope this fixes the problems with the Android version for now until I can figure out what exactly the problem there is.

Sorry, for the inconvenience. Enjoy the game!

Cheers!
