Crimson High v0.39.0 Now available in Early Access!

After years of Patreon early access only, Crimson High's newest update is now also available through Itch.io during the early access phase! The price is equivalent to the lowest Tier 2 on Patreon and will decrease to the lowest Tier 1 equivalent in a week, then gets completely removed yet another week later, at the time of the public release.

You can of course still head over to my Patreon to get the new update on there, as well.

Tier 2 includes: Mythical Being, Messenger, Sentinel, Mango Priestess, (Dreamer), Warden, as well as the old T2 tiers

In 7 days from now (15/12/2024), the update will go live for Tier 1 patrons: Seeker, Fledgling, as well as the old T1 tiers

Public release is in 14 days from now (22/12/2024)!

Update-only patch (v0.38.x → v0.39.0) is included. To install it, extract the contents of the CrimsonHigh-0.XX.X-update_only.zip file into your Crimson High folder and overwrite when prompted.

Changelog:
- 15,100 words
- 232 renders
- 2 new Space Hamsters

Yus! I'll wait a week and then grab this.

i paid 20 bucks once, why do i have to pay 23 bucks now?

(1 edit)

You don't have to do anything. But I did think about it over the evening and the change doesn't sit right with me, so I've taken it back.

so i can still get the newest update without having to pay again? cause that's how it worked earlier

If I understand you correctly, then no. It never worked like that, either. Each update is 20 bucks, just like the respective tier on Patreon is  - which btw is where the $23 came from, because I never realized that I went with $20 on itch.io but 20€ on Patreon, which converts to $23.

You might think it's greedy to ask for 20 bucks every update - and in some ways it probably is - but keep in mind that the game is free in general. You always have the choice of just waiting two weeks (or one week for 75% off).
The repeating 20 bucks every update are so that I can keep doing this as a full-time job, thus delivering full-time work. I.e. monthly updates of consistently increasing quality.

No one is required to ever pay anything for Crimson High. The early access is solely a way for me to fund the game.

i'm aware, there was just a mix-up before but i'm glad it's settled

Me too, and sorry for being defensive about this. I do appreciate your continued support. :)

i'm confused for a number of reasons, the main one being i already paid once on itch, so i'll just agree with you
