I will be completely honest here. Crimson High is the most well thought-out, polished, and most engaging game I have played in a LONG time. It's one of those games that urges you onto the next chapter/story. And it never has a dull moment in character development because you're always meeting to new characters. While I'm not a particular fan of harem games, this game makes me feel like a fucking god amongst men. Very little games achieve what this game has done to my brain and right now, I can not only frame this in my top 1 favorite nsfw game of all time, but also in my top 3 favorite visual novels of all time. Well done, veritgo.
Crimson High has one of the more interesting plotlines I have found from any game on Itch for a while. Characters don't feel like hollow shells just put there to sate the MC's libido, they have depth and a backstory to them. The writing has kept me on my feet with each new revelation or morsel with a greater implication, come questions, questions and more questions.
I look forward to continuing the current content and to see how things play out in the future.

There's just a thing that I kinda dislike, even if I kinda get why you had to do it ( there are a lot of games that risked the shut down cz char were to child-like), but that changing on Jun in the new version piss me of. She was different to all the girls, she was a precious with that short hairs and she was also petite, now she's canon with all the others and I feel like she lost part of her personality :c.
Just wanted to point it out as other has done but as a positive criticism.
Nevertheless the writing on the game is top notch, and the story is so original that I've devoured it, so keep it on cause it's marvelous 👌

Well, believe me, in a perfect world, I'd have left Jun as she was (sans character growth etc.) but we're not living in a perfect world, so I did what I had to do. However, I feel like saying that she's like all the others now isn't really fair, cause a) it implies that the others are all the same and b) it implies that Jun was nothing more than her young-ish visuals. She's still the same girl, just in a slightly more appropriate frame.
That being said, I'd suggest just giving her a chance, cause I personally feel like the change to her visuals wasn't detrimental to her as a character - it rather emphasizes her personality in my opinion. She has some more screen time in the next update, which hopefully can show that off a bit more.

Edit: I don't see it. Why do you think it copies CH? From what I could tell, the only similarity is the vague school setting, but even then, the MC there is a student.
For Android, you need to download the full .apk from here and install it. That'll update your CH installation and you can continue your save files. There sadly isn't an update-only version for Android, unless you use Joiplay to play.
1)Is it correct that one can skip all the texting? The option "That's all" is available from the very beginning.
2)Even if Ren didn't text with Okami about the reward, he still checks out the hotel restaurant and invites her there during the waiting for Kuro & backup. I think this is quite strange.

Well, logically speaking there are no reason to not check all messages if you can. However, as I know that sometimes order matters in CH, I've played different combinations, including the total ignore.
By the way, again, logically speaking, Toukashouldreturn to the class after the texting with Ren. Thus girls shouldn't be able to text or, at least, make selfie if Ren text with herat first. But, I suppose, that makes this episode unreasonable complicated.
First Touka was held up by a short conversation with the two other teachers in the lounge, then she went to the bathroom after texting with Ren, since she was out of class already anyway. :P

The event with Yui was extremely interesting and unexpected! But now I'm starting to wonder if similar things might happen with all of the girls Ren gives his blood to and what exactly is going to happen between Ren, Yui and Aki.
All in all, I am extremely satisfied with Crimson High so far.

The message is from Tsubaki, the green-haired girl from the track & field club. You have to pick her as your favorite at the track to get her number/give her your number, and thus be able to get a message from her. Quick disclaimer, though: It's a rather short message interaction for now. There will be more in the future, based on this, but yeah. May or may not be worth going through the trouble of going back to that decision just to see it. :)

I dropped this game twice because of how boring it was at start but I wanted to know why everyone was praising this game so much. That's why on my third play-through I pushed myself to play the entire game and I am glad that I did. I absolutely love this game. Here is my personal opinion:
What I love about this game:
The characters are very well written. This game has more than 20+ characters and it feels like all of them has an intriguing backstory to tell.
The world building is fantastic. Every myth has their own lore and rule that they follow and the story never ignores any of them just for the sake of plot.
What I don't like about this game:
The starting is very slow. The characters take time to develop and the game only starts to get interesting after 70% through chapter 1
The next issue is that the game is written more like a light novel rather than a visual novel. The main character monologues a bit too much. There are lots of scenes that could have been presented visually (by showing images) but instead the MC monologue the entire scene.
But with all it's flaws, I still fell in love with this game. Great job vertigo 👍
Thanks a bunch for giving CH another chance! I'm aware of the early game being rather slow and even somewhat boring. I've learned a lot since then, both in terms of writing and the visuals, as noticeable in the later stages of the game. MC's monologuing is indeed a bit too prominent in the early game, as you said. I have since reduced that and limited his thoughts to moments of downtime and/or relevant situations, instead of all the time in the middle of conversations.
Maybe I have to go back and rewrite some of the first chapter to make it easier for new players to get into the game. I'll have to think about that.
There is another thing that I should let you know. I am playing it on Android and during my play-through, the game crashed more than 10 times. Also, every time the game crashed was during "Texting" scenes (where the MC replies to messages). But the issue doesn't happen when I access phone from the top left corner of the screen.

Do you play on an older phone, by any chance? Because this is very likely a memory issue. The game keeps up to 25 previous messages in the log and for some reason this seems to take up a lot of memory on mobile devices. As far as I can tell, this is an issue of RenPy (the program I'm using to code the game) rather than CH itself. I might reduce the maximum amount of messages further, though. That way it should have less on an impact on older phones.
That should be sufficient, actually. I'll see that I reduce the message log for next update. Maybe cut it down to just 15 messages instead of 25 and hope that that solves the issue.
Should this keep happening after you've played the next update, let me know and I'll see if there's anything else I can do, alright?

Rounding to the nearest 500, usually. Hence, not that low, since I'm explicitly aiming for ~13k on average. After 35 updates, I've gotten rather good at ending up where I want to end up, even though I couldn't explain how I do that lol In actuality, v0.31 has 14,373 words and v0.32 has 14,651 words. As it goes with rounding, these things even each other out, though, and 14,500 looks way more pleasing to the eye lol
In my opinion, one of the best visual novels I've ever played! It's really cool when the story in a game is so addictive that the time passes without a second thought! I've always marveled at how people manage to write such great stories! Thank you very much, I will definitely buy the next version as soon as it is available!
Seconded. Spelling/grammar nits are generally rare and minor, the pacing is comfortable, and it has solid storytelling with a compelling plot, interesting characters, a good sense of humor, etc. It is well worth reading.
I can only say that about roughly 6.2% of the AVNs that I've read or started to read, and most of the other titles on that short list are the sorts of titles that get updated once or twice per year, so I'm really impressed at the velocity you achieve without tanking the quality. 😁

Weird punctuation nit in the latest update: "Now and then" is a common English idiom, and at one spot, you used a clause ending with "now" followed by "and" to start a compound predicate beginning with "then", which makes it look like you're using that idiom.
But then the sentence unexpectedly goes on afterwards. When readers realize it wasn't intended as an idiom, they can get very confused (because the remainder of the sentence is unparseable at that point) and may be forced to go back and reread the entire sentence to figure out what's actually going on.
Even though you don't normally use a comma before a compound predicate, this is one of those spots where it is *really* needed. Changing it to "...the address now, and then make..." would greatly improve understandability.
Yes, I'm arguing to violate Chicago or whatever, but adding a comma between those phrases isn't strictly wrong, and improves readability in this one weird edge case, so... yeah. Or you could just repeat the subject and make it a full compound sentence.

Clearly every char, gurls and Bois too, has a personal story and a way to see things that is really interesting.

What program do you use for modeling it doesn't look like Koikatsu or anything else I have seen in H games.
It's Koikatsu, but I went away from the default look (and especially head shape) everyone uses
The shading style is a lot different also how did you set it up?
I've played around a lot with different combinations of settings until I had found one I was happy with.

the school is identical from the entrance to the class room granted the story is different but the back ground looks the same
Ah. Well, you'll find that particular school in a lot of Koi games. It's one of the base maps to use, so a lot of people use it.

Well, I bought my phone last year. It's performance isn't bad but not top of the line either. It has 6 GB ram with Snapdragon 778 processor.

Yes, there won't be any pregnancy in the game. The biggest and most simple (spoiler-free) reason for that being that I'm not into anything pregnancy, and thus don't want to create that kind of content. Beyond that, there are in-story reasons for it, too. I hope that answers your question. :)

Just started this game, and I gotta say for an ero-game the lore and story had me hooked on rather than the segs scenes.
Like I'm curious if the MC is really human, you know after that pan to the back of his head incident (lol).
Can't wait to uncover more lore and know more about the characters, probably the second ero-game I got invested in the story along with Cursed Kingdoms.

Assuming you are rounding to the nearest hundred, what were the chances the last 2 updates had the same number of words added.
Rounding to the nearest 500, usually. Hence, not that low, since I'm explicitly aiming for ~13k on average. After 35 updates, I've gotten rather good at ending up where I want to end up, even though I couldn't explain how I do that lol
In actuality, v0.31 has 14,373 words and v0.32 has 14,651 words. As it goes with rounding, these things even each other out, though, and 14,500 looks way more pleasing to the eye lol

In my opinion, one of the best visual novels I've ever played! It's really cool when the story in a game is so addictive that the time passes without a second thought! I've always marveled at how people manage to write such great stories! Thank you very much, I will definitely buy the next version as soon as it is available!

Seconded. Spelling/grammar nits are generally rare and minor, the pacing is comfortable, and it has solid storytelling with a compelling plot, interesting characters, a good sense of humor, etc. It is well worth reading.
I can only say that about roughly 6.2% of the AVNs that I've read or started to read, and most of the other titles on that short list are the sorts of titles that get updated once or twice per year, so I'm really impressed at the velocity you achieve without tanking the quality. 😁

Weird punctuation nit in the latest update: "Now and then" is a common English idiom, and at one spot, you used a clause ending with "now" followed by "and" to start a compound predicate beginning with "then", which makes it look like you're using that idiom.
But then the sentence unexpectedly goes on afterwards. When readers realize it wasn't intended as an idiom, they can get very confused (because the remainder of the sentence is unparseable at that point) and may be forced to go back and reread the entire sentence to figure out what's actually going on.
Even though you don't normally use a comma before a compound predicate, this is one of those spots where it is *really* needed. Changing it to "...the address now, and then make..." would greatly improve understandability.
Yes, I'm arguing to violate Chicago or whatever, but adding a comma between those phrases isn't strictly wrong, and improves readability in this one weird edge case, so... yeah. Or you could just repeat the subject and make it a full compound sentence.
That's a fair point, yeah. I've changed it.
English isn't my first language, so grammar can be a bit annoying here and there, especially in niche cases. I do try to learn and improve, though.

A couple of typos / nits:
- "good to know *you're* on my side" (rather than "you")
- A few lines later, no comma needed after "Call"
- Next line should have be a period and uppercase letter after "Will do."
I might also quibble about "continue on", but I could go either way on that.
